"If I could relive one day, it's not a certain day, but there's probably 2 days. One: my oldest son went into the military and the last time that I spoke to him we had a very lengthy conversation. And that was the last time that I spoke to him because he didn’t come back home alive. 21 years old. So, that conversation was important. He was over there and he called when we were able to get a hold of each other. I was taking a lunch - that was when I had the furniture store - I went out back and sat in my vehicle and we talked for an hour or so… which was kind of unusual because you don’t normally get to talk that long. But it was just a matter of days later that an IED took out the tank that he was in - he was in Iraq. It would be nice to be able to go back and have more of a conversation with him. The other day I would relive would be one where I get to have a conversation with my dad. He suffered with Alzheimer's for 15 years, which is a long time. And he was always a strong figure: slow to speak, chose his words carefully, and therefore if he said something, it was important. He had a lot of wisdom. So just to be able to have the opportunity to sit down and visit and talk with him would be amazing. Those are the 2 days that would be nice to be able to do again… it makes you really realize what's important. We get caught up in a lot of things - all of us do - but what is really important? It's who you are and the people around you, and how you show yourself to them and others." Vincent Gibbs - Sr. Member Advisor | Park West #HumansOfREV
