a new movement working to deliver a fairer, better and more secure future for all of us.

About us

Renew Australia for All is a new movement backed by social services, unions, faith, community and multicultural groups, environment organisations and industry working together to deliver a fairer, better and more secure future for all Australians. We are driven by our vision of a better future for Australia. A vision of a future where no Australian household, family, worker or community is left behind. Where all our homes and communities – no matter where we live, or what we earn – have access to affordable, clean, renewable energy, cutting household energy bills now, and for good. Where there are plenty of good jobs in your local region, so you and your children can stay in the community you love. Where Australia is a powerhouse of manufacturing and innovation, and where all our communities are better prepared for and able to recover from, extreme weather events, like bushfires and heatwaves. We believe that if we lean in and think big, we can use the opportunity of Australia’s shift to clean energy to realise this vision and build a better Australia for us and generations to come.

Updates

  • Yesterday at the Smart Energy Expo 2025, Independent MP Allegra Spender reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring clean energy benefits are accessible to all Australians. Spender highlighted the importance of addressing barriers facing renters and those in apartments who often miss out on solar solutions.  We're encouraged to see growing cross-bench support for inclusive clean energy solutions that can cut bills for good!

  • Renew Australia for All is pleased to see the Greens putting renters at the center of their clean energy policy announced today. Nearly a third of Australians are renters, and too many are missing out on cutting their bills through rooftop solar. Today's proposal recognises everyone deserves access to affordable, clean energy – regardless of whether they own or rent their home. We look forward to seeing more announcements like this to make sure everyone shares in the benefits of clean energy!

  • Australians are facing skyrocketing energy prices, but we already have the solution — and it’s not nuclear. Nexa Advisory CEO Stephanie Bashir nailed it on ABC’s Your Say: “Our coal power stations are becoming more and more unreliable — and every year of delay, our electricity prices are going up.” The solution isn’t nuclear. It’s too slow and wildly expensive. Our newly released report shows nuclear would push bills to $2,721/year. For the cost of nuclear, we could power every home with solar + batteries three times over. Let’s cut bills now — not in 2045.

  • Nuclear would cost you more—and give you less 💸 The upfront cost of nuclear reactors is so high that every Australian household without solar and batteries could be fully equipped three times over instead. Why back a plan that would drive up power bills for decades when we could be slashing them instead? It’s time for the Government to invest in solar and batteries—the cheaper, smarter solution for households.

  • Would you rather pay $328 or $2,721 for power? ⚡ Households with solar and batteries pay just $328 a year on energy bills. Under the Coalition’s costly nuclear plan, households relying on the grid could pay $2,721 annually. Nuclear is slow, expensive, and won’t cut power bills. We back solar and batteries—the cheaper, smarter choice for households. Nuclear just makes no sense.

  • Huge win! ⚡️ The Federal Government has just announced a $2.3 billion investment to make household batteries more accessible. That means households could save up to $1,459 a year on their power bills. It's a big step forward, and it didn't come from nowhere. Today's win proves that advocacy works. But we're not done yet. Renters, low income households and apartments still face barriers to clean, affordable energy. We know that with solar, batteries and home energy upgrades, families can save $3039 a year on their power bills. That’s why we’ve been calling for a $5 billion investment to support those who need it most. Let’s keep going—no one should miss out on cheaper, cleaner energy. ☀️🔋

  • Australia needs real action to cut power bills—so why is the Federal government and Opposition ignoring the most obvious solution? Last week’s Budget extended energy relief payments, but that’s just a temporary bandaid. Meanwhile, the Opposition wants to double down on coal, gas and expensive nuclear - locking in higher bills and more climate pollution for decades. We don’t need to rewind to outdated, costly energy—the solution is already here. Solar, batteries, and energy upgrades are slashing bills now, but millions of Australians—renters, apartment dwellers, and low-income households—are still locked out. A $5B investment in home energy upgrades could save households up to $3,039 per year—that’s long-term relief, not just another short-term fix. 🔋 The choice is clear: more fossil fuel price hikes or real investment in lower bills?

      +1
  • 2 in 3 Australians are backing renewables for our energy future! New research shows strong support for clean, reliable energy to power our country. With renewables leading the way, it's clear—Australians want a future built on affordable, sustainable energy. Now, it’s time for the government to act and make this vision a reality. Let’s power the future together!

  • Imagine combined savings $270 million every year. That’s the potential combined savings from renewable energy upgrades for people in social housing—reducing power bills and creating a brighter, more affordable future. With the right government action, we can make sure these benefits reach those who need them most. Let’s ensure everyone has access to clean, affordable energy.
