The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) is the leading trade association of property and casualty reinsurers doing business in the United States. Its membership is diverse and includes reinsurance underwriters and intermediaries licensed in the U.S. and those that conduct business on a cross-border basis. The Reinsurance Association of America’s Demystifying Reinsurance: A Basics of Reinsurance Course is taught by industry executives who combine enthusiasm for educating fellow professionals with powerhouse backgrounds that include years of experience in the reinsurance industry. The program provides a comprehensive overview of the purpose and structure of reinsurance and guides attendees through all steps of the reinsurance transaction and its impact on an insurance company’s bottom line. The course targets reinsurance and broker company employees, insurance company professionals, attorneys specializing in reinsurance, and regulators. Attendees earn credit towards the Re Scholar designation and CLE, CPCU, and CPE credits for continuing education.
