The name REDCOM was established in 2010 as an extension of our father company, REDCO Engineering & Construction Corp. with the intention of pursuing larger and more architecturally challenging projects as well as to provide our clients with bonding capability. Established in 1982, REDCO is a second generation General Contractor with in-house Engineers, Architects, Designers, and Project Managers. Due to the numerous skill sets our team possesses, we have been able to design, receive approvals, and construct many diversified facilities. Under the vision of President Gregory J. Redington P.E. & P.P., our company has seen extensive growth throughout the past decade, pursuing larger and more complex projects. These projects have included independent schools, automobile dealerships, industrial flex buildings, warehouses, laboratory buildings, trucking facilities, and childcare centers. We provide numerous schematic design options, creative ideas, and budgeting at the beginning of a project which enables us educate our clients about various construction components, architectural options, and interior design alternatives in order to guide them to the best solutions for their needs, images, and budgets. REDCOM arrived dapper as ever for the United Way of Greater Union County's Circle of Hope Gala. This event celebrated the Angels & Allies that continue to help United Way make a difference in the local community. We want to extend our congratulations to our very own Joe Orsita on his appointment to the Board for United Way of Greater Union County! Having played a key role the building’s renovation, Joe is excited to give back in a new way through his latest role in the organization. Way to go, Joe!

We know there is plenty of caffeine in our office, but how about yours? REDCOM provided construction management services to build a Starbucks in Metuchen, NJ. Along with the coffee shop, our team also carved out Greenway Avenue, the street within this newly-developed campus, and built a retaining wall along the building’s bordering hillside.

Happy Women in Construction Week! Let us introduce you to our skilled Junior Architect, Caitlin Ryan. Caitlin graduated from the Hillier College of Architecture and Design at NJIT in May of 2024 and has been with REDCOM for a little over a year. Her favorite part about being an architect? Creative freedom and the process of transforming a simple paper sketch into a real building that will impact thousands of people. She believes great architecture not only serves a purpose, but also leaves a lasting impression. She notes it can be intimidating to enter the male-dominated architecture space, but emphasizes the importance of persistence, tenacity and confidence. She holds that the most important thing is to be resilient and stand firm in your abilities even when times are difficult. Happy to have you, Caitlin!

It’s Women in Construction Week 2025! Meet Abbigael Lesniewski, our talented Junior Design Engineer. A Rutgers School of Engineering ’23 graduate, Abbigael’s passion for problem-solving was sparked by her volunteer work with the Appalachia Service Project and inspired by her father’s career in software engineering. Her favorite part about engineering is the constant opportunity to learn and grow. She believes that there is no such thing as a stupid question and that every answer is a step forward. We’re proud to have her on the REDCOM team!
