  • QCDC is thrilled to offer a new professional workshop, BUILD SMART:A PRACTICAL WORSHOP ON DEVELOPING COMMERCIAL SPACES FOR ENTREPRENEURS. The goal of this session is to provide small businesses and property owners with knowledge and tools to guide projects such as retail and restaurant space development and small rehab projects. The facilitator, all with 30 + years of direct experience, will provide keys to a solid project budget, financing options, how to assemble and work with a great real estate development team, zoning and permitting tips, and more. Additionally, we are pleased to have a representative from the Chicago Community Trust to provide an overview of their predevelopment grant funding program. QCDC's objective is to increase the success of projects on our commercial corridor, specifically in Bronzeville, in south and west communities in Chicago.
