Over the last 18-24 months, health systems have become more and more aware of the need for a unified workforce management strategy to combat future workforce challenges. If your organization hasn't taken steps towards a unified strategy, here are a few places to start: - Establish a formal governance committee with HR, finance, IT, clinical teams, and operations. - Leverage technology to simplify operations, streamline scheduling, and enhance communication between departments. - Build a community of workforce leaders to share perspectives and best practices across various hospitals and health systems. We've included five key takeaways for healthcare leaders in our blog: https://lnkd.in/eKBz4drR What do you recommend to prepare for future workforce challenges? #HealthcareWorkforce #HealthcareInnovation #WorkforceShortages #Governance

What happens when a provider has concerning legal issues that don’t show up in traditional databases? You might find them with a simple Google search. Anne Roberts, Esq., CPMSM, CPCS, breaks down how targeted searches like: “[Provider Name] + Lawsuit” “[Provider Name] + Investigation” “[Provider Name] + Fraud” …can uncover patient complaints, civil suits, and regulatory issues that wouldn’t appear in a standard credentialing file. The best credentialing teams don’t just verify — they investigate. Do you incorporate similar searches into your credentialing workflows? Share your thoughts below. #HealthcareCredentialing #RiskMitigation #Compliance

This change can help you improve patient access and revenue potential at your hospital. ⬇️ Patients are waiting an average of 26 days for a scheduled appointment. (And in some locations and specialities, that wait time is even longer.) Credentialing delays exacerbate this issue - if a provider isn't credentialed in a timely manner, they can't deliver care, further pushing back access. The best way to rectify this? 🫱🏼🫲🏾 Connect your credentialing and provider scheduling on one workforce management platform. Imagine having real-time visibility into provider credential statuses without having to contact other teams. Schedulers could more accurately build out schedules further in advance, and providers would be able to see patients as soon as credentials are approved. Don't just view credentialing as a compliance requirement, but utilize the process to enable greater efficiency, access, and financial performance. One of the most cost-effective ways to meet patient demand is to make use of the resources you already have - like your clinic and exam rooms. The best way to do this? Space governance. Space governance refers to the structured management and oversight of clinical space to ensure they're being used efficiently. The impact: ✅ Improved patient access ✅ Enhanced provider satisfaction ✅ Increased financial performance Check out our blog for best practices for effective space governance: https://lnkd.in/ex-RmTUF #HealthcareInnovation #PatientAccess #ExamRoomManagement

Happy Earth Day - we've been celebrating all month long! 🌳 Park Pride Volunteer Day: It was such a joy to partner with Park Pride earlier this month to help remove invasive species and lay mulch at Bagley Park. We love being able to help support local parks around our Atlanta office! 🪴 Gardening Galore: Employees all across the nation have been learning planting possibilities for their spaces, how to start summer vegetables from seeds, and more. Thanks Pike Lane Gardens! How are you celebrating #EarthDay?

Most hospitals and health systems are still managing their employees in silos, despite the clear benefits of consolidating and standardizing workforce management tech stacks. In fact, almost 95% of healthcare IT leaders believe that technology consolidation is a key component of digital transformation. By combining your workforce management systems - such as physician, nurse, and staff scheduling, on-call management, time and attendance, credentialing, room management, and more - into a single platform, it benefits operational efficiency, staff efficiency, and the patient experience.
