As an owner's representative, Principle Services consistently advocates for our clients' best interests, even beyond our primary scope.   Recently, a contractor submitted $700,000 in change orders to a client for out-of-scope work. Our team collaborated with the client to review bid documents, contract documents, and project information. Principle Services advised the client to counter the change orders, resulting in all being rejected. Although this change order review was not our primary responsibility, our team deserves special recognition for their efforts. At Principle Services, we prioritize safety every day on the job sites we oversee. We also conduct monthly training sessions to share field insights and best practices within the construction industry. Those trainings translate into diligent situational awareness, which came in handy recently when our employee Toe Nakasone helped another driver on the road. On his way to work, Toe noticed a vehicle on fire so he flagged down the driver and pulled over to help. After determining that the tank contents were not flammable, Toe used the fire extinguisher from his Principle Services work truck to put out the flames. Principle Services is very proud of Toe for pitching in and using his Stage-4 Safety Awareness. • Stage 1 - Reactive: Accidents are known to be common and people rarely take responsibility. • Stage 2 - Dependent: Safety is seen as management's responsibility and subordinates simply need to adhere to the rules. • Stage 3 - Independent: Individuals are aware of hazards and take responsibility for their own actions. • Stage 4 - Interdependent: Health and safety is a shared-responsibility where people watch out for each other.
