Two years ago, Planet Aid Thrift Store donated used clothing ♻️ 👗 🧥 ♻️ for an unforgettable night and a tremendous celebration of sustainable fashion and resilience. The show featured wounded veterans wearing glamorous and fun sustainable outfits curated by ENCORE DC's founder, Valerie Coulloumme-Labarthe, and her team. Planet Aid and Planet Aid Thrift Store look forward to supporting this year's fashion show at the Embassy of France in the United States, which benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. 🎧Tune in for the next episode of Sustainable Solutions with Planet Aid (April 19), which features an in-depth discussion about the event and its emphasis on resilience with Encore-DC's Valerie Coulloumme-Labarthe.
Introducing Our Communication Campaign: ✨"Faces of Resilience" ✨ At ENCORE DC, we believe that true strength lies in accepting vulnerability, courage, and solidarity. Our campaign, "Faces of Resilience," highlights the individuals at the heart of our mission — people who have overcome immense challenges and are now a source of inspiration for others. 🌟 Why "Faces of Resilience"? Because behind every story of pain and struggle, there is a face — a unique individual who embodies reconstruction, courage, and the power to uplift others. This campaign is all about unity and humanity. It celebrates universal resilience that transcends borders, reminding us that the most vulnerable among us often become our greatest teachers. 💙 Honoring Our Veterans, their Caregivers and Beyond In the upcoming edition of the Encore DC Resilience Sustainable Fashion Show, we will once again shine a light on veterans — individuals who were ready to risk their lives for peace and freedom and whose journeys of healing deserve to be honored. But this year, we will also unveil many other inspiring faces who are contributing to this project. 🌍 A Global Story of turning Vulnerability into Strength From veterans to their caregivers and loved ones, from volunteers to designers, and supporters from diverse backgrounds, "Faces of Resilience" will introduce you to those who embody the spirit of unity and empowerment. Together, they remind us that resilience is not just about survival — it is about building, inspiring, and creating hope for others. Stay tuned as we unveil these remarkable stories that will move, inspire, and challenge us to see the world through a lens of compassion and strength.
