The Philadelphia Bar Association, founded in 1802, is the preeminent association of lawyers in the United States.
About us
The Philadelphia Bar Association, founded in 1802, is the oldest association of lawyers in the United States. It is a keystone in the ongoing developments of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania legal systems. Attorneys, judges, and politicians alike look to the Philadelphia Bar Association for guidance on controversial legal issues; and for an organized meeting ground for professional support and information sharing. Non-lawyers of the Philadelphia community count on, and look to, the Philadelphia Bar Association for general information on how to address their legal issues and where they can go to find additional information and help. With more than 200 years of dedicated service to stand on, the Philadelphia Bar Association is firmly rooted in the Philadelphia community as a steady and reliable bellwether.

The Philadelphia Bar Association's Family Law Section started collecting hygiene items for youth involved in WRAP Court back in January. The amount of items we have received from family law practitioners, law students, and the University of Pennsylvania Office of the Vice President's Division of Public Safety has me in awe! We have already made one delivery to the Court since January, this next delivery of March and April's donations was too much to capture in photos. Thank you for all those who donated! This month's law school winners for most donors was again Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and it's student led School Discipline Advocacy Service Committee!

Yesterday’s panel on “Charting your Legal Path” hosted by the Young Lawyers Division - Philadelphia Bar Association, South Asian Bar Association of Philadelphia (SABA-Philly), and Holland & Knight LLP was such a fulfilling event. As a panelist, I felt the amazing engagement of the law students and prospective law students. Thank you so much to my fellow panelists Tara Param, Allison Beatty, and Michael McFarland and our moderator Charnae Supplee!
