Meet Angel Rios, Survey Crew Chief at Petticoat-Schmitt! With 8 years of surveying experience, Angel thrives on the adventure of being out in the field and seeing projects take shape from the ground up. He says, “I love that I get to be the first boots on the ground—walking through a site before anything exists, and then watching it transform into roads, buildings, and communities. It’s an incredible experience.” For Angel, the most rewarding part of surveying is seeing the final product and knowing he played a role in building something that will last. Even though he’s only been with Petticoat-Schmitt for a short time, he already feels at home: “The fact that I can call it a family after just two weeks says everything. I love it here.” Let’s celebrate Angel and all the surveyors who help lay the foundation for our projects every day! #SurveyorsWeek #LandSurveying #PetticoatSchmitt #BuildingTheFuture #digdeeper

With a commitment to getting every detail right, Adam understands that in surveying, even the smallest adjustments can make the biggest impact. From navigating the challenges of high-profile projects like Jax Beach to ensuring site development stays on track, his work helps keep construction moving forward. As surveying technology evolves, so does the complexity of the job—but Adam’s expertise and dedication ensure that every mark hits its target. Surveyors are the foundation of every successful construction project, and this week, we’re celebrating the experts who keep our projects on track! Meet Jeff Mickler, Survey Manager at Petticoat-Schmitt, who has been part of our team for five years and in the surveying industry for 20 years. Jeff’s career in surveying started in an unexpected way. Growing up, he worked on houses and docks, always drawn to working with his hands and improving the world around him. When a family friend introduced him to surveying, he thought, "You’re going to pay me to work in the woods with a machete?" What started as an outdoor adventure quickly turned into a lifelong passion, allowing him to make a direct impact on his hometown, support his family, and build a lasting career. We’re grateful for the impact Jeff and our entire surveying team have on our projects and communities! 👏 #digdeeper #nationalsurveyorsweek #surveyor
