Meeting with congressmen and women was a big moment, and thanks to Veronica Beard, they walked in feeling confident, empowered, and ready to make an impact. We are so incredibly proud and inspired by these young women for using their voices to make a difference. Their dedication and courage remind us why this fight matters—and having Veronica Beard’s support helped them step into these conversations with confidence. This partnership is about more than fashion—it’s about elevating voices, spreading awareness, and creating change. But they always do. 🦋 Penny’s Flight began as a small flutter—fueled by love, hope, and the belief that Penny’s light could shine on and help find a cure for NF. In just over 2.5 years, we’ve spread our wings wider than we ever imagined, reaching schools, communities, and hearts across the world. Now, that light takes flight in a whole new way. Our Roller Rabbit Flutter PJs collaboration is more than beautiful butterfly prints—it’s a symbol of the love, strength, and community that keeps us soaring. Seeing friends, families, and supporters wrapped in these butterflies is a dream come true. We’re honored to share not only your photos but also the story of Sabrina Lo, who, like Penny, was diagnosed with NF1 at birth. Once feeling isolated by her condition, Sabrina has learned to thrive, embracing every part of her journey. This collaboration has made her feel seen and uplifted, reinforcing the power of awareness and support. Sabrina’s journey embodies the strength of those living with NF1. 🦋🦋FEDERAL FUNDING UPDATE 📣🦋 Yesterday, we learned that NF research funding through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) eliminated in the recently passed fiscal year 2025 continuing resolution. For many years, this program provided $25m annually for NF research. While this is certainly a challenge, it’s not the end of the fight—because if there’s one thing Penny taught us, it’s to never give up. Penny faced every obstacle with strength, positivity, and determination. She didn’t back down when things got tough—she fought harder. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do. The NF community is strong, and the support we received from so many donors gives us hope. Together, we will do everything in our power to restore this critical funding. In the near term, the wonderful private charities who support NF research will be more important than ever in moving science forward towards finding a cure. We won’t stop fighting for you and for everyone affected by NF. Stay hopeful, stay determined, and know that we will keep pushing forward—just like Penny would.
