🚧 Big News: Peak to Lead NEPA Study for Peña Boulevard at DEN! ✈️ After last night’s successful City Council vote, we’re excited to share that Peak Consulting Group LLC has been selected to lead the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) study, including alternatives analysis and preliminary engineering, for the rethinking of Peña Boulevard, the primary gateway to Denver International Airport (DEN). This $15 million initiative will address increasing traffic demands and improve the transportation experience for all users of this vital corridor. Led by Project Manager Chelsea Adkisson, P.E., and Principal Colleen Kirby Roberts, AICP, and delivered in partnership with industry leaders HDR and RS&H, our team also includes some of Denver’s top small engineering, environmental, and public involvement firms: CIG Public Relations, Clanton & Associates, Conventum Group, CRL Associates, Dope Mom Life, Livable Cities Studio, Maxx Impact Group, OV Consulting, Ridgeview Data Collection, San Engineering, SurvWest, and Y2K Engineering. We’re committed to working closely with the communities, residents, and businesses who depend on Peña Boulevard every day—from Green Valley Ranch to the many neighborhoods, employers, and travelers who rely on safe and efficient access to the airport and surrounding areas. With a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and over a decade of experience with the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service, Josh brings a wealth of expertise in environmental impact analyses, compliance, and NEPA. Prior to his federal service, Josh spent five years in environmental consulting conducting socioeconomic analyses and preparing technical reports. A Denver native, Josh loves exploring Colorado’s trails and traveling with his family. Before joining Peak in 2024, Spencer served as the Environmental & Sustainability Project Manager at The Housing Authority of the City of Atlanta, where he played a key role in securing NEPA clearance for affordable housing projects. His work ensured that clean, safe, and high-quality housing was made available to vulnerable and lower-income families in his hometown. Now at Peak, Spencer is excited to expand his impact by working on large-scale public infrastructure projects that contribute to sustainable, thriving communities.

Anna brings a distinctive blend of biological research and environmental consulting experience, with expertise in management and planning. Prior to joining us in August 2024, she spent two years supporting NEPA document preparation for federal agencies within the clean energy sector. Her career began in the field, conducting biological surveys and research, which instilled in her a deep appreciation for environmental stewardship. Exciting Update from Peak! We've been involved in numerous projects over the years, but among our favorites has to be the wildlife crossing on the I-70 Mountain Corridor. This week, we had the honor of witnessing the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Genesee, CO, alongside Julia Kintsch, Francesca Tordonato, Brandon Marette, Madison Cieciorka, PE, Kevin Brown, Shonna Sam, AICP, Ashley L. Bushey, ENV SP, Madeline Head, and the countless others who contributed. This new crossing is set to reduce wildlife collisions by an astounding 90%.
