Loyola High School’s new chapel marks Detroit’s first Catholic chapel built in 50 years! PEA Group is proud to have played a role by providing civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture services, including the courtyard design as part of the project. Excited to see it finally open!
This week Loyola High School is set to officially open the first new Catholic place of worship built in Detroit in more than half a century. The new 225-seat chapel was the centerpiece of a $9 million campaign at the private Catholic school for boys on the city's northwest side. The new St. Peter Claver Chapel stands in the same footprint as the previous chapel, which closed in 2018 after the roof caved in and was subsequently demolished. The parish has been holding masses on the Marygrove College campus since then. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gPZF4zKr
