Experience the power of music and healing at the Oregon Symphony’s Lullaby Project concert! The Lullaby Project, in partnership with the Oregon Symphony, features original lullabies written by parents receiving services at Path Home. These parents, navigating the journey from homelessness to stability, created songs full of love, hope, and resilience — and now, they’ll be brought to life by the Symphony. Join us in celebrating their voices, their strength, and the beauty of connection through music. Housing First Works! It is a proven solution to end homelessness—for good. Shelter services are a band-aid We need long-term solutions—not more short-term fixes. It doesn’t mean housing only. Mental health care, recovery, & employment services follow or are adjacent to housing placement. Housing First is working elsewhere… Homeless Population Change between ‘15 & ‘23 Point in time counts: Houston: 30% Decrease Milwaukee: 30% Decrease What it Takes in Portland: Build affordable and supportive housing Fund wraparound services Improve data and track outcomes Align systems—housing, health, justice Push for political action and funding The bottom line: Housing First is effective. It’s cost-efficient. And it centers human dignity. Let’s stop managing homelessness. Let’s start ending it! Did you catch Brandi Tuck yesterday on Think out Loud on OPB!?
It was an honor to go on Think out Loud on OPB yesterday to make family homelessness less invisible in our state. Oregon has the highest rate of unsheltered homeless children in the entire country. But we can change that if and only if we invest in providing services to families with children now.

Who else is loving this sunshine!? Doesn’t this make you want to snuggle up as the beams of light hit you just right with a cup of tea and a book? So relaxing and beautiful! We hope the families that stay at Family Village can feel that same cozy feeling here. Did you know? An important feature of trauma informed design that we incorporate is creating a sense of abundance and strong connection to nature through real plants both indoors and out, using natural materials and allowing in abundant light! The hidden crisis of family homelessness is growing. A recent NYT article highlights what we see every day at Path Home—many families experiencing homelessness remain invisible, excluded from critical housing assistance simply because they don’t fit narrow federal definitions of homelessness. Parents working full-time jobs are still unable to afford stable housing. Families are left to couch-surf, sleep in cars, or crowd into motels—yet they don’t “count” in official homelessness statistics. And now, as funding for critical safety net services is at risk of being eliminated, families on the edge of homelessness have even fewer resources to turn to. Now is the time to double down. Support organizations like Path Home that are on the front lines, filling the gaps where policies fall short. Your support ensures families have the stability, dignity, and housing they deserve. Read our blog here: https://lnkd.in/g2Qxmb7a... where you can also find the NY Times article linked Want to support our work?
