Now that we've established the many benefits of an open market for cities and consumers, how do we overcome the misperceptions associated with the idea? As Passport's Adam Kriegel mentions, one complaint we receive is that not every driver has a smartphone. With options like text-to-pay and guest checkout, ParkMobile makes it easy for any driver to pay for parking. After years of working alongside each other, ParkMobile, Passport, and PayByPhone now have an opportunity through open market parking to get to know our consumers better, something Carmen Donnell is especially excited about. 😊 Thank you, Adam, Carmen, and Madison for collaborating on this open market video series! Together, we make cities more livable. #ParkMobile #Passport #PaybyPhone #OpenMarket #OpenMarketParking

🚗 We’re back with Round Two of our parking solutions bracket: Open market vs. non-open market. Don’t worry, we won’t keep you in suspense — the open-market model is victorious! Here’s why… 🔷 Open-market revolutionizes the parking experience, enabling multiple parking providers to compete against each other in the same city. 🔷 It lets drivers choose the provider based on convenience, unique features, user experience, and value. 🔷 This kind of parking frees cities from the limitations of the traditional procurement model, allowing for innovation and improved customer experience. We’ll be back soon to share the results of our third and final round. 🏆

Spring has officially arrived, and there’s no better time to reassess the current state of parking in your city — aka, “spring cleaning” for your roads. 🧹🛣️ We’ve gathered a few questions to help you decide if your city should implement a paid parking system… 👉 Do you have limited parking availability? 👉 Is congestion a problem? 👉 Are overall revenue numbers down? 👉 Are you looking for ways to improve pedestrian safety? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it may be time to invest in the proper tools and technology that can help make your city more livable. The end of February and the beginning of March brought an exciting lineup of industry events for ParkMobile! 🌟 From local government innovation to mobility hubs and sports venue operations, we had the opportunity to connect 🤝 with key stakeholders, gain insights, and explore trends shaping the future of mobility. Here’s a quick look at where we’ve been: ✅ The National Sports Forum, Boston (Feb 23-25) – Our first joint event with Flash! We had a co-branded booth and great conversations with existing clients and new prospects, including major sports teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Sporting KC, Brooklyn Nets, and Houston Astros. The big topics? Fan experience, game day convenience, and meeting fans where they are. ✅ ICMA - International City/County Management Association #LGReimagined Local Government Reimagined Conference, Denver (Feb 26-28) – A deep dive into local government innovation, covering AI, data-driven decision-making, and social media strategies. ✅ New England Parking and Transportation Council NEPTC Municipal Forum (March 6) – A focused discussion on mobility hubs, with insights from the City of Boston, CPTA, and Walker Consultants. Thank you Cambridge, Somerville, and Brookline for great conversations! Each of these events helped us strengthen relationships and stay ahead of the latest industry trends. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunities to engage and collaborate! 🙌

March is the month of brackets, and we created one of our own, inspired by the parking solutions that make cities more livable. 🏙️ Let’s kick things off. ⬇️ Round One puts free parking against paid parking. The winner? Paid parking. 🌟 Here are three reasons why… 1️⃣ Increased revenue: A seamless parking experience means more customers and a significant decrease in operating costs. 2️⃣ Data and insights: By implementing a paid parking system, you gain powerful data and that can improve efficiency. 3️⃣ Less congestion: Simple parking infrastructure not only improves visitor satisfaction, but gives you better congestion control and curb management, improving access to your city. Stay tuned for Round Two!

As we celebrate #NationalWomensHistoryMonth, we want to spotlight a few women in transportation whose contributions transformed the industry. ⭐ Elizabeth Dole ➡️ From 1983 to 1987, Elizabeth served as the United States' first female secretary of transportation, advocating for auto safety features like brake lights, airbags, and seat belts. ⭐ Janette Sadik-Khan ➡️ As a former New York City transportation commissioner who led projects like the pedestrianization of Times Square and the expansion of bike lanes, Janette helped influence cities around the world to prioritize sustainable transportation and pedestrian-friendly design. ⭐ Jane Jacobs ➡️ Known for nurturing community-led planning and opposing Robert Moses' plans to build a highway through Greenwich Village, Jane advocated for walkable streets, small blocks, and mixed-use neighborhoods. These women have made an everlasting impact on city and road safety, and there are countless others working to do the same today. Tag the women in transportation whom you admire. 👇
