Parc Center for Disabilities is teaming up with Great Explorations Children's Museum for a fun and festive Sensory Friendly Easter Egg Hunt! 🐰 Join us Saturday, April 13th from 10am to 12pm at Great Explorations for a morning of springtime fun designed for individuals with disabilities and their families The Easter Bunny will be hopping by for photos and smiles, and our friends at SPCA Tampa Bay will be bringing some adorable animals to meet. This National Siblings Day, we want to share the story of our CEO & President, Michelle Detweiler, and her sister. Growing up in a family with four other children, Michelle's sister required constant support. At just 10 years old, she had to move into Sunland Training Center, a state institution, where she lived for a decade. But thanks to Parc Center for Disabilities' groundbreaking work in creating community homes and helping close state institutions, Michelle's sister was able to come home—a mission driven by their father, Bert Muller, former CEO and President. His vision ensured that families like theirs could stay together in supportive, community-driven environments. Michelle continues that legacy today, advocating for inclusion, independence, and a brighter future for individuals with disabilities. 💙
