Reaching members—all members—is a continual challenge for health plans. Member engagement is a tough nut to crack when no two members are the same. Yet it’s key to providing the tailored support that improves health outcomes and reduces costs. 🔑 With populations and the members that comprise them constantly evolving—and regulations doing the same—how can Medicare Advantage plans meaningfully reach and engage their most complex members to provide better care and lower costs? 💡 Andrew Parker will join other healthcare leaders to discuss this topic and actionable strategies to address it on the Bright Spots in Healthcare podcast next Thursday, 4/10, from noon to 1 p.m. ET. ➡️ Register to listen live here: https://lnkd.in/e57XpkCw

Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. adults report not having social and emotional support. The consequences are dire—and even more so when tragedy strikes. The #Papa benefit fills this gap in support for so many, including our own employees, like Debbie. Debbie has faced multiple life-changing events in her 3+ years working at Papa. She up and moved to rural Michigan with no support network nearby, then lost her daughter suddenly, followed by her brother and mother figure, too. On her darkest days, Debbie turned to her “Papa for Papa” benefit for help—and her Papa Pals delivered. They helped her take care of her dogs, her house, and herself; they showed up for her on holidays with baked goods and handmade gifts; and they helped her venture out into the world again after many months of isolation. 💙 Debbie calls her Papa benefit “a wonderful gift,” and we know those who receive the benefit of in-home help when they need it feel the same. ➡️ Read more about Debbie and her #PapaPals Tricia and Jennifer on our blog: https://lnkd.in/ekaCQxUx ➡️ Learn more about Papa for employers: https://lnkd.in/eDYMfRNc

AI is a powerful tool, but it can’t replace the power of human connection. New research shows that relying too much on ChatGPT may increase feelings of loneliness and reduce real-life social interactions. At #Papa, we know real relationships matter. Technology should enable and enhance—not replace—the personal touch that brings comfort, companionship, and support when it’s needed most. 💡 Read more from MIT Technology Review about the impact of AI on emotional well-being: https://lnkd.in/e9TYcJmF

Trust is something you earn over and over again by making commitments, following through, and showing your work. That’s why #Papa released the first-ever transparency report from a caregiving platform, which outlines the dozens of enhancements we’ve made over the years and the best-in-class Trust & Safety program we’ve built along the way. The report, written by our external Trust & Safety Advisors, covers: 🛡️ Our approach to protecting members and Papa Pals in our community 🦺 The safeguards we’ve built into our platform at every step 📝 Learnings for others facilitating in-person interactions at scale Because when it comes to supporting people in need, safety must come first. These are the details that shape better, more effective care. And they often go unnoticed in traditional healthcare settings. A small gap in support can lead to big health consequences. Lack of transportation, unsafe living conditions, and social isolation don’t just affect quality of life—they drive up healthcare costs and worsen health outcomes. That’s where #PapaPals come in: 👀 Spotting risks early—before they escalate into costly emergencies 🚘 Improving access to food and medication with compassionate transportation 🩺 Encouraging critical healthcare actions, like PCP visits and preventive screenings, and making sure members have the means to get there 🫂 Providing companionship that combats loneliness and improves well-being This isn’t just care. It’s life-changing support. See the impact: https://lnkd.in/eRXijdWr

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to join the EHIR World 50 Accelerator Spring Roundtable series as a Presenting Innovator 🚀 At Papa, we know that when employees are stretched thin—balancing work, caregiving, and daily life—stress rises, productivity drops, and engagement suffers. During our presentation, we shared how our national care network helps employers lighten the load for their workforce, offering real solutions for the sandwich generation and beyond. By providing trusted, flexible support for aging parents, childcare, and everyday tasks, Papa helps employees stay focused on their work—not just the challenges at home. The result? Reduced stress, improved well-being, and a stronger, more engaged workforce. We’re grateful for the chance to connect with leading benefits innovators and explore ways to drive meaningful impact together. Excited for what’s ahead! 💫 #PresentingInnovator #World50Accelerator #EmployeeWellBeing

Living with a chronic illness like Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is hard enough—imagine facing it without family close by to support you. That’s the reality for Anisa, a #Papa member who’s been living with MS for 25 years. More than anything, Anisa wants to maintain her independence. With Papa as an integral part of her care team, she’s able to do just that. Her #PapaPals ensure she makes it to her life-saving infusion appointments every month—a task that used to be a source of overwhelming anxiety. Now, she has peace of mind knowing her Papa Pal will be there, ready to help her safely and comfortably navigate the day. “Papa is the lynchpin that keeps me going month to month,” Anisa says. “They’re the piece of the team that allows the other pieces to happen.” 💙 For members like Anisa, Papa is about more than just transportation or support. It’s about independence and the ability to keep moving forward. Read how Papa helps Anisa live on her own despite her diagnosis: https://lnkd.in/gfqAQJTT
