👏 Portfolio News: Ligo Biosciences' work in reproducing DeepMind AlphaFold3 from pseudocode recognized in Nature Magazine and Science Magazine - congrats!! Can't wait to hear more from this talented team on their ground-breaking modeling of enzyme design.
Excited for Ligo Biosciences to be included in both Nature Magazine and Science Magazine in their recent articles on the release of DeepMind's AlphaFold3 code. Disappointing to see Nature fail to acknowledge that all teams who reproduced DeepMind's code (Ligo Biosciences, Chai Discovery, Baidu, Inc., ByteDance) found significant errors in the pseudocode which prevented training and compromised reproducibility. It should not become the norm to bend the rules for large corporations publishing in scientific journals. Academic publishing standards should be the same for everyone.
