🎙️ Texas Talks Podcast with Graham Dugoni Yondr Founder and CEO Graham Dugoni recently joined Bradley Swail's "Texas Talks" podcast to discuss phone-free schools legislation and the social benefits of creating tech-free spaces for young people: "If we're talking about young people becoming ready for the workforce and jobs... we're going to need people who can have strong people skills, know how to talk, maintain eye contact, carry on conversation. These are muscles that have to be built, and the phone is not necessarily conducive to that." Watch the full episode here: https://hubs.la/Q03c-4kZ0

📱 The New York Times on Phone-Free School Days The New York Times just spotlighted Yondr partner district Schoharie Public Schools as a showpiece in Governor Hochul's push to ban phones in schools statewide. Superintendent David Blanchard introduced a bell-to-bell phone-free policy with the Yondr Phone-Free Schools Program in 2022. The results speak for themselves: "We found a transformative environment... Immediately we saw them talking to each other, engaged in conversation in the lunchroom." Now, Schoharie students are seeking guidance for in-person conflict resolution, and elective class enrollment is up. Initially resistant parents "came around when they realized that with the addiction broken, it became much easier to manage their children's digital lives at home."
