🎉 Continuing our Month of the Military Child celebration, we’re honored to share another heartfelt testimonial from a Battalion Buddy recipient. These stories remind us why supporting Military Children is so important. 💪🇺🇸 “I wanted to say thank you so much for the buddy bears! They were a huge hit at our Family Day picnic and we had several kids coming up to have their pictures taken. They really appreciated the bears and what they meant saying 'This will be daddy while daddy is away.' Thank you for your generous donation. I look forward to working with you again in the future and I will be sure to spread the word about Operation Gratitude at our unit so they may donate and fund other events and support other units. Take care!” 🧸📸💜

Whiskey Bravo's mission is to teach students the importance of our military through service projects, lessons, and other initiatives. Throughout our nation, many students are unaware of the issues our military and their families face every day. Whiskey Bravo Student Clubs bring a new perspective and teach students more about the military. Led by Teagn Godfrey, Whiskey Bravo's Boerne Chapter was started 2 years ago, and is the first and only chapter in Texas! They have a group of around 30 kids in total, and participate in local veteran affiliated service events, as well as running their service projects such as Operation Book Drop and Operation Packout. They have been able to serve about 150 Veterans both locally and nationally, helping pass on their stories to our nation’s youth. @whiskeybrav We’re proud to join Points of Light in celebrating the millions of volunteers who make a difference every day. Check back in tomorrow to learn about more of our amazing volunteers.

This Volunteer Appreciation Month, we’re excited to spotlight Toni and the incredible impact she has made with Operation Gratitude! “I joined Operation Gratitude because of the variety of items you can make and donate. As a 4-H club leader working with different age groups, I love that there’s something for everyone to contribute. The younger kids can decorate thank-you cards, while the older ones enjoy making paracord lanyards. On a personal level, I like to stay busy, so I appreciate the ability to switch between card-making, sewing, and crocheting. I also love connecting with the amazing and talented people in the Zoom chats and Facebook group. I help make items, moderate the Facebook community, and occasionally assist members with tech questions. Giving back through Operation Gratitude is deeply personal for me. My father and three brothers served in the military, and the stories they’ve shared are incredible. Reading thank-you letters from care package recipients is so moving—some even bring tears to my eyes. Knowing that a handmade gift can brighten someone’s day and remind them they are appreciated makes me so proud to be part of this wonderful organization.” April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’re proud to partner with Points of Light to celebrate the incredible impact of volunteers all month long. Join us each day in April to meet an inspiring volunteer or group and see how they help drive Operation Gratitude’s mission forward.
