April is ABLE to Save Month! 🌟 We want to shine a light on Ohio's version of the ABLE program, called a STABLE Account, and specifically the STABLE Account Enrollment Incentive. Introduced by Ohio Treasurer of State Robert Sprague last year, the incentive matches the first $25 contributed by eligible Ohioans when they open a new STABLE account during the month of April. 💭 Wondering what a STABLE Account is? It's a tax-advantaged savings and investment account that lets individuals with disabilities in Ohio save their earnings for qualified expenses while preserving their eligibility for other public benefits programs. Exciting news from Blendon Woods Metro Park! 🎉🌳 We're thrilled to announce that the park's inclusive playground is now officially open! This fun and vibrant new space is designed for little adventurers of all abilities to play, explore, and grow together in one of Ohio's beautiful outdoor spaces. The playground features wheelchair-accessible equipment, communication boards, sensory areas, and instruments like musical steps. We're happy to share that families can also enjoy accessible picnic tables and shade structures, as well as a universal changing table in the playground restroom. At OOD, we are proud to have attended last week's grand opening celebration, and we're thankful to Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks for their work in creating outdoor spaces in Central Ohio where everyone can belong.
