It's that time of year again! Our judges recently volunteered for the Florida High School Mock Trial Competition at the Orange County Courthouse. They always look forward to this event and love working with students who are passionate about the legal field. Congratulations to all the high school students who had the chance to participate in the mock trial competition, and good luck to those advancing to the state finals!

Last week, our judges had the pleasure of joining students from Barry University School of Law for their annual "Tea with the Judges" event. It's always a great time for meaningful conversations — sharing advice, answering questions, and getting to know our circuit's future lawyers. Thanks to everyone who made this tradition so special!

Hard work pays off, and these students proved it! This past week, students from Arts Thereafter Christian School visited the Osceola County Courthouse as a reward for winning a political economics competition and top-notch testimonies for a mock trial at their school. They spent the day with Judge Arendas, and she explained what it takes to become a judge, the difference between circuit and county, and the type of civil cases she hears. The students had a lot of questions, and she was happy to answer them. Her deputy, Deputy Hernandez, also gave the students a behind-the-scenes tour of the jury deliberation room and the holding cell. The students enjoyed their visit, and the hard work was worth it!
