Meatingplace Magazine's March 2025 issue highlighted consumers' love of protein for snacking, specifically the role of meat snacks - check out the full article at the link below. Niman Ranch Vice President of Marketing Drew Calvert weighed in on this trend: "The rise of convenience paired with savory gourmet is lending itself to what you might traditionally see on a fancy charcuterie board becoming accessible, everyday luxuries, such as prosciutto, soppressata, capocollo and genoa salame." https://lnkd.in/eXu5aFnG

About us
Niman Ranch works with a community of over 740 family farmers to produce the finest tasting all-natural pork, beef, lamb and prepared products. Our independent family farmers are committed to sustainable agriculture practices and humane animal care by adhering to strict livestock raising protocols developed with the help of animal welfare expert Dr. Temple Grandin. All our animals are raised outdoors or in deeply bedded pens and are fed a 100% vegetarian diet. They are never given antibiotics or added hormones – ever! Larry Banowetz has raised pigs on his family farm in eastern Iowa for 45 years. But the hog industry, or pork industry as it’s now referred to as, has changed dramatically over that time. In 2018, Larry’s son, Caleb, took over the family’s hog farming work, becoming a fifth-generation Banowetz farmer as a junior in high school. Read more about Larry and Caleb's story and why they choose Niman Ranch in this article from our partners at Food Tank.

Check out Chef Stefon Rishel's droolworthy Pork Milanese featuring our humanely and sustainably raised bone-in pork chops.
Corporate Culinary Director Hurtado Barbecue and scaling down on my Owner/ Operator Mohawk Consulting & Culinary Solutions
Pork Milanese—crisp, golden, unapologetic. A Niman Ranch bone-in chop, pounded thin, breaded, and fried to that perfect shatter-crisp bite. No fuss, no gimmicks—just technique and respect for the ingredient. A bright, peppery arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, shallots, and pecorino brings the balance, and a charred lemon waits on the side, ready to punch it all up with a hit of acidity. This isn’t just comfort food—it’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down, take a breath, and remember why simple done right always wins. #italianseries

Paul Sobocinski, a farmer who has partnered with Niman Ranch for over 20 years, is on the cover of Minnesota Farmers Union’s magazine. In addition to having a passion for raising happy pigs, Paul has been an organizer and leader in the movement to save family farms and build a sustainable and fair food system. We are inspired by Paul and hope you take a minute to learn more about his tireless advocacy and immense impact. Thank you Minnesota Farmers Union for featuring Paul and letting us republish the feature on our website to share his story more broadly.

Did you know that 83% of consumers seek a “better-for-you” option when they purchase protein, and four in ten meat shoppers occasionally purchase meat or poultry that feature production claims? Niman Ranch’s Alicia LaPorte spoke with Supermarket Perimeter about our commitment to a broad set of claims (Certified Humane®, no antibiotics ever, grass-fed, independent family farmer support and 100% crate-free—to name just a few) and how we are seeing strong consumer demand in this rapidly growing category. https://lnkd.in/dYYeFRAG

Niman Ranch has partnered with the The James Beard Foundation since 2017 to support their impact work. A highlight of this effort is the JBF Chef Bootcamp for Policy and Change™, where a group of chefs are brought together from across the country to learn from the best of the best about the Farm Bill, advocacy and how they can use their voice and purchasing decisions to build a better food system. We recently wrapped up the latest Bootcamp held at Carnation Farms outside Seattle and are leaving inspired and excited to see what these chefs do next! (📷: Kyler Martin) Thank you for your partnership Anne Engammare McBride, PhD, Patricia Griffin, Michel Nischan and the whole JBF team who makes this happen! #RaisedWithCare
