In October 2024, a school bus fueled by compressed natural gas caught fire near Bangkok, killing 20 students and three teachers. In response, the Thai government ordered inspections of all passenger buses using this type of fuel. The bus carried 11 gas canisters, which exceeded the permitted limit of six. In each edition of #NFPA Journal, we examine recent events using the #NFPA Fire & Life Safety Ecosystem, empowering individuals to actively create a safer world from fire.
