In the world of logistics, trucks each have their own special job, just like people with different personalities! Whether it’s the bold, independent Full Truckload (FTL) leader or the friendly, team-player Less Than Truckload (LTL) driver, each truck type shows off unique traits. This article takes a fun look at how trucks like refrigerated "nurturers" or delivery vans as "local connectors" match up to our personalities, and how understanding these traits can help us build better teams and communities! https://lnkd.in/eMG8KNjg

Hoping everyone heads into the week with a healthy mindset and view towards their relationships 😊
Why perspective matters Just got back from my weekly SOCIAL workout at the gym Sundays are sacred to me, so I really tried to unplug and relax and I noticed that my workout is much better if I just take my time and get things done without the pressure of having to run somewhere or handle something for work I also use it as a time to stay connected with some of the friends I made over the years I know some of you who are reading this know me as an unmedicated ADHD person that likes to have a good conversation, however, in most cases, these friends actually approach me with a smile, and typically a hug, no matter how sweaty or engrossed we are in the workout Cool thing is I get to learn a lot about life through all the different cultures, beliefs, and ages that are there Today I learned about the differences in perspective regarding how couples process things Without starting a major controversy nor naming my friend, I really appreciated his candor and openness as he shared some personal affairs he and his family are dealing with What I found amazing was he was practicing principles (without ever being consulted )that I actually teach not only in our business but to my leadership clients and Logistics clients The four principles of healthy communication I learned it during a period in my 40’s when things shifted suddenly incurring many losses, both financial and physical, and these principles continue to help me handle the shifts and changes that life throws at me They are Be honest Keep current Act don’t react Attack problems, not people I believe just like my friend @Mark Crocco taught me that these principles are irrefutable, and exercised properly could save us from the true stresses of life which lead to deteriorated relationships that often end with the ongoing mystery of the words that were never spoken, torturing both parties On a lighter note, I have other friends at the gym that like to share their opinion of the opposite sex, which I find very funny A male friend of mine says that the place is a meat market A female friend of mine says some of the guys at the gym give her the creeps And then there is the coed comment about one guy who is built like someone who could guard the gates of Asgard (for you, Thor fans) stating that he’s a real meathead, when actually he’s an astrophysicist As we head into another week of wonderful trials, tribulations, successes, and joys, all found in our relationships, I once again want to share the words of wisdom that I found handwritten in my mom‘s Bible after she passed. “Most people are inherently good if you take the time to get to know them” Enjoy your week 💪😊❤️🙏 #RelationshipsMatter #PerspectiveMatters

Cargo theft in the U.S. has surged since the COVID-19 pandemic, with reports rising by 27% from 2023 to 2024, and losses amounting to $15-$35 billion annually. The U.S. Senate is addressing this issue through hearings, highlighting the failure of lawmakers and regulators, and the devastating impact on small businesses. Proposed solutions include stricter regulations for brokers, allowing penalties for freight thieves, and increased insurance and registration oversight to help combat fraud in the supply chain. Freeze protection in LTL shipments is essential for safeguarding temperature-sensitive goods, especially during colder months. It involves various methods, such as thermal blankets, temperature-controlled trucks, and gel packs, to prevent items like pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals from freezing during transit. By selecting the right freeze protection based on the type of goods, transit time, and weather conditions, businesses can ensure their products arrive safely and in optimal condition Read the full article below 👇 https://lnkd.in/eaHnj9ay

Some thoughts on finishing strong! All my best to you as we enter into the end of the month and the final two months of 2024.
Why the Fourth Quarter matters Yes, this blog is going to use a play on words and a few sports analogies so for my non-sports fans especially those in my inner circle please bear with me and read on and perhaps you’ll be on board Pictured is Pete Rose, a very controversial figure who passed away recently…but one thing is for sure, the word hustle is synonymous with his name If anyone is a fan of sports, happy endings, last minute heroics, or a superhero movie junkie like me perhaps you’ll appreciate my thoughts What makes winning at the very end so rewarding? A walk off grand slam incredible? A trick play to propel a Super Bowl win for a bunch of underdogs? Moon landings in the wrong place that prove successful? I think it has something to do with a universal appreciation for humanity’s resilience in the face of adversity If this is true…then why do many business people begin to slow down, pull back and ride out the fourth quarter? I have seen this throughout my career and have pointed this out as a potential advantage to mentees and people in leadership circles So what’s the advantage? Simply put, It’s the principle of working a little harder and longer Its the positive energy that’s generated that helps a person reach a little further to finish the year strong while helping your teammates and clients (who are also your teammates) get to the goal line and win together! I’ve heard a lot of great excuses over the years…Many of them my own…then one day I realized that many of my competitors were taking the slow down approach and that it left many opportunities waiting for me to explore and work through at a time when people were more relaxed and open to considering changes going into the early part of the new year Let me be clear, this doesn’t mean that people aren’t busy at the end of the year, nor do they not need time to relax and slow down to plan and reset for next year We do that at my company What I’m saying is that none of us knows what the future really holds except for one thing…That we have been blessed with limited time on this planet to make the most of it That itself should be a motivation to try to do the best we can for ourselves, and the people in our circles. So if you’ve already hung up your cleats, given up on the alien invasion or turned your spaceship around returning to earth, you still have time to consider that it’s only the end of October and you have over two full months to give your best You deserve it Your family, friends and loved ones deserve it Most importantly, the world needs it! Wishing you all the best and looking forward to sharing a heroic ending with all of you! #FinishingStrong #RelationshipMatter
