Celebrating a significant milestone at Port Liberty Bayonne as the first Premier Alliance vessel, the 14K TEU, ONE Eagle, embarks on its maiden voyage. Captain Gagandeep Singh graciously hosted a plaque ceremony onboard, commemorating this historic event. Beth Rooney, Port Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, presented the plaque, marking the occasion. Special thanks to Peter Mastandrea for orchestrating this memorable event. The presence of Brian Jackson, Vice President of Port Liberty Bayonne, Rado Saragih from PANYNJ, and Melissa Spata from ONE added to the celebration. I had the privilege of taking part in Trac Intermodals 2025 Kick Off meetings this week, alongside distinguished individuals Mark Ficarra, Director Business Development and Customer Service at Port of Newark Container Terminals, and Giovanni Antonuccio, Chief Commercial Officer at APM Terminals Elizabeth, LLC. I extend my gratitude to our skilled facilitator Val Noel, EVP & COO at Trac Intermodal, as well as to Dan Walsh and Lou Testa from Trac for organizing a successful event.

The Port of New York and New Jersey recently hosted the Cold Chain Roundtable, where Dan Mulligan from Port Liberty actively participated. During the event on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, Dan, alongside other senior executives from the Port, emphasized the impressive cold storage and reefer capabilities available. Port Liberty's commitment to cold chain solutions is evident through its two terminals. The Staten Island facility features an on-dock reefer warehouse and 500 reefer plugs, while the Bayonne facility offers over 700 reefer plugs. These facilities play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive goods and ensuring efficient cold storage operations within the Port of New York. #PortLibertyUSA #coldchain #PANYNJ

We were fortunate to be able to volunteer with our partners at CMA CGM Foundation and participate in their "Giving Across North America" program. We distributed food to over 650 individuals with all the fixings of a great Thanksgiving dinner. We are proud to share that our very own, John Atkins, President and CEO of Port Liberty USA, was awarded the "William Bernard Dudley Humanitarian Award", at the ILA's 11th Annual Civil Rights Awards Dinner on November 2nd, 2024. Introducing and joining John on stage was John Nardi, President of the Shipping Association of New York and New Jersey. Other distinguished recipients that evening were, Herbert Hall Sr. "Martin Luther King, Jr. Award", Lovette McGill "Women's Rights Award", and Vincent S. Cameron "Labor Leader Award".
