Serving kids and teens with therapy services; physical, occupational, speech, mental health and naturopathic care!
About us
Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies specializes in pediatric Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy for children from birth to adolescents. The Mental Health and Medical Programs provide a wide range of treatment and services to children, adolescents and their families. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to providing all clients with the highest quality services in a family-centered and fun atmosphere. With locations all over the Portland Area offering vital services in the local communities of Oregon City, NE Portland, Hillsboro, McMinnville, and Clackamas. We partner with many individuals and businesses to help meet the needs of children and teens. One way we do this by fundraising for our Scholarships 4Kids fund. This fund helps to cover therapy costs for children who most desperately need it—reaching families who have limited or no insurance coverage. “Every dollar donated to our Scholarships 4kids Fund will go directly toward the provision of services to make a significant and lasting difference in the life of a child and his or her family.” - Karen Brelje, Legacy Director.

OT helps individuals experience life more fully—by supporting independence in the everyday things that bring meaning and joy. Whether it's play, school, self-care, or connection, OT empowers people to engage in the things that matter most to them. We invite you to watch this heartfelt message from Lindsay, one of our Neuro parents, as she shares her family’s journey with Neuro, for her son Abinadi. Our nonprofit clinic has served children in the McMinnville community for 17 years, providing life-changing therapy to families who need it most. Recently, we made the heartbreaking decision to close our clinic due to financial challenges—but the community’s response was clear: "Let us help!" YOU can support keeping our clinic doors open and make it sustainable, by helping us raise $40,000 for this effort. This is for the kids—for children like Abinadi–who rely on our therapy services. 💙 Every dollar matters! The community has raised $27,000. Here’s how we hit our goal: ✅ $1,000 from 13 generous donors or business supporters ✅ $100 from 130 individuals ✅ $20 from 650 individuals Your donation will help ensure these children continue receiving the care they deserve. If you can’t donate, that’s okay – liking, commenting, and sharing this post helps too! 🧡 Donate here: https://lnkd.in/ge6seP6j #McMinnville #McMinnvilleOregon #GiveForKids #TogetherForKids #SupportLocalKids #NeurodivergentKids #DonateForKids #Pediatrics

Happy International Play Therapy Week! 🌈 Today, we're sharing some tips for parents who want to foster attachment through play. Read below for some further explanations or additional tips! 💛 Watch and listen to your child, rather than assume. Be open to and encourage any engagement that they offer. 💜 If they are resistant, fade your presence by speaking less, moving further away, or making your movements and play "smaller". ❤️ Use "Yes, and...", which starts first with listening to your child's idea and then saying yes by adding to the already established idea. 🩵 Make bedtime and wake up routines playful to help your child participate in a more relaxed, calm manner. 🩷 Give them piggy back rides or create mini obstacle courses down the hall during transitions. 💚 Make (silly) faces with the food on the plate when preparing snacks! 🤎 Get out of your comfort zone and see if any creative silliness entices your child to join in with you more willingly even and especially during chores! 💛 Improv can offer one of the best tools to promote attachment through play! Allow creation, creativity, and connection to happen together through collaboration where you build upon each other's ideas for play. ❤️Follow your kiddo's lead, allowing for hard boundaries when needed (such as safety concerns!). 💙 Make mental notes of subject areas that they appear hungry to learn more about so that you can help educate around later in the day or week. #playtherapyweek2025 #internationalplaytherapyweek2025 #iptw2025 #playtherapy #associationforplaytherapy #a4pt
