Swedish-American painter Ole Olofson often works on several canvases at once, building layers upon layers, scraping and sanding their surfaces, using water and wet abrasives, and then layering more paints, pigments, pastes, and varnishes. He repeats this process, adding and refining until the piece feels complete. Works from his series, "The Deed of Light" are now on view throughout NeueHouse Venice Beach.
