Firefighters in the NC BRIDGE program are on the front lines alongside local crews, battling #WesternNC #wildfires — and their efforts are catching national attention. A partnership between #NCDAC and the NC Forest Service, NC BRIDGE was launched after devastating wildfire seasons in the 1980s to boost firefighting capacity and provide meaningful vocational training to offenders. Participants gain valuable skills in wildland firefighting, forest management, trail construction, and more — earning official certification and a clear path to employment after release. https://ow.ly/RIio50Vxyzl #TeamNCDAC #WildfireFighting #SecondChances #ReentryMatters
