Time to revisit a classic! 📽️ Almost a decade ago, we captured this incredible showcase of triaxial braiding, and it’s just as impressive today as it was then. This 1 min video highlights the successful prove-out of a new 144-carrier braider with nylon fiber (to simulate carbon fiber), tested to ensure it was production ready and up to the task of delivering exceptional composite structures.

Meet Dale Post, one of our Quality Assurance Inspectors. Dale’s journey in the field of Quality began while working at Hercules when a shortage of inspectors enabled him to enroll in a company's in-house Quality Inspector training program. This program equipped him with the necessary skills to inspect products, identify conformance issues, and provide recommendations for improvement. Over time, his expertise grew, allowing him to become a subject matter expert. In the early days, he relied on manual hand tools for inspections, but as technology advanced, he embraced it for more efficient inspections. His experience includes working on projects such as the CH-53, F35, and Boeing Fuselage. In 2020, he decided to step away from his career, but in 2021 he made a comeback to Quality Inspection, excited to pass on his expertise to the upcoming generation of inspectors, including his own grandson. Dale's dedication to Quality is evident in his long and varied career. He finds joy in renovating his home, caring for his yard, and immersing himself in the outdoors with activities like camping, fishing, and traveling when he's not at work. #EmployeeSpotlight #Precision #TeamNammo #Aerospace

At Nammo Composite Solutions, quality is at the heart of everything we do. Our material test lab is a prime example of our commitment to excellence. One of the advanced techniques we employ is acid digestion of carbon fiber composite samples. Using sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide per ASTM standards, we dissolve resin from the composite specimen to measure the proportion of fiber, resin, and voids within the structure. This process is an essential quality control step, ensuring that our composite structures meet our customers’ standards for performance and durability. By performing critical tests like these in-house, we not only maintain our quality benchmarks but also provide shorter product lead times and reduced costs, delivering greater value to our customers.

We were delighted to host the 47G organization for their recent manufacturing committee meeting at our facility.
