That’s a wrap on #NACDMasterClass: Technology & Innovation Oversight in Arlington, VA. The event featured a packed room, invaluable conversation, and zero fluff. Directors explored real-world oversight challenges—AI integration, ethical risks, cybersecurity, and more—with clear takeaways: - Oversight of AI and data strategy must include both implementation and realization metrics. - Cross-functional collaboration is no longer optional—boards should expect it from their management teams. - A reactive, compliance-driven approach to data governance is outdated, and boards must lead proactively. A huge thank you to our partners—Accenture, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Deloitte, Grant Thornton (US), and Pearl Meyer—and to our speakers and attendees for making this event an exchange of ideas and action par excellence.
