PFAS, a dangerous man-made chemical, lurks in our water supply, food, and bodies. Found in over 98% of the population, PFAS is linked to cancer, heart issues, and blood problems, contaminating drinking water for over 200 million Americans across 2,400+ sites in 2024. But here’s some hope—new, stricter regulations are pushing for action beyond EPA standards. MWH is at the forefront, with $237 million in PFAS removal projects, including one of the nation’s largest systems—an ion exchange plant treating 65 million gallons daily. #MWH #PFAS #PFASSolutions #CleanWater #ForeverChemicals

↩️Throwback to a Decade of Excellence: The Tres Ríos Water Reclamation Facility Project in Pima County, Arizona. MWH served as the CMAR for this transformative $232 million plant expansion project, which upgraded the original aging facility (originally built in 1977) from 37.5 MGD capacity to an impressive 50 MGD, delivering a state-of-the-art wastewater plant. A critical factor in the success of the Tres Ríos project was MWH’s strategic decision to self-perform 50% of the work. This approach enabled MWH to drive quality and efficiency in over $45 million of self-perform work. #MWH #Arizona #WaterInfrastructure #ConstructionExcellence

♻️MWH is always implementing standout advancements within our industry. The Cambi Thermal Hydrolysis Technology (CambiTHP) is an innovative process that applies heat and pressure to break down organic waste, significantly boosting biogas production while reducing waste volume. This innovative technology is being utilized on the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission Biosolids Digester Facilities Project. Key benefits include: 💧Enhanced biogas production for renewable energy, powering facility operations. 💧50% reduction in biosolids, minimizing waste disposal and associated costs. 💧Pathogen elimination, ensuring biosolids meet safety standards for reuse as fertilizer. 💧Cost savings and reduced emissions, supporting environmental and community goals. 💧Improved efficiency, increasing capacity without expanding infrastructure. Learn more about this innovative process from Senior Commissioning and Startup Engineer, Em Minner, EIT in the video below! #Sustainability #Innovation #BuildingABetterWorld #ThermalHydrolysis #Cambi #MWH
