Enclosed Bladder Irrigation System to #KeepItClean!

About us

A new medical device company found by two medical doctors in the field of urology and emergency services to revolutionize the way bladder irrigations are performed. We offer a novel OSHA compliant way to manually irrigate bladders with blood borne pathogens in a safe, efficient and extremely clean way. Think of the Multiphze Enclosed bladder irrigation as extended Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We significantly reduced the time to irrigate, the number of people needed to complete a bladder manual irrigation, and nearly eliminated the post irrigation clean up time.

  • What is Hematuria? Hematuria is defined as the abnormal presence of blood in the urine. It is one of the most commonly diagnosed urological disorders, accounting for over 20% of all urological evaluations. In about 50% of cases, a specific cause of the hematuria can be identified, meaning no definite etiology can be determined about half the time. Gross hematuria is a common presentation in outpatient clinics and emergency departments that is treated by manually irrigating the bladder. The Multiphze Enclosed Bladder Irrigation System is the only OSHA compliant solution that offers a unique method for irrigating the bladder, designed to reduce the risks and costs associated with biohazard exposure and contamination while delivering improved procedural efficiencies. The system features a custom 120 ml rotatable syringe with independent ports used to manage the FILL, IRRIGATE, and DRAIN functions that eliminates the need to repeatedly disengage from the urinary catheter during a manual bladder irrigation procedure.  Visit multiphze.com to learn more.

  • When is Manual Bladder Irrigation used to clear blood clots in the urine? Manual Bladder Irrigation is performed when a catheter becomes partially blocked with clots, or when a patient experiences sudden discomfort due to bladder obstruction. The Multiphze Enclosed Bladder Irrigation System is a safer, more convenient bladder irrigation method for improved procedural efficiencies and reduced risks and costs associated with managing hematuria. The system features an irrigation line that is preassembled and connected to the rotating syringe. Its kink-free flexible design prevents the tubing from collapsing when bending to keep fluids flowing throughout the procedure. Visit multiphze.com to learn more.

  • When is Continous Bladder Irrigation (CBI ) used? Continous Bladder Irrigation (CBI ) is often used to prevent clot retention after bladder or prostate surgery where significant bleeding is expected. Manual Bladder Irrigation is used to clear occasional blockages from clots or debris in the catheter or bladder when CBI is unable to clear them. The Multiphze Enclosed Bladder Irrigation System is the only OSHA complaint solution for treating hematuria that offers a novel method for manually irrigating the bladder, designed to reduce the risks and costs associated with biohazard exposure and contamination while delivering improved procedural efficiencies. The Multiphze system features an irrigation line and a drainage line with a 4 Liter urine bag which are preassembled and connected to a specialized syringe that attaches directly to a standard urinary catheter for a more convenient and safer manual bladder irrigation procedure. Visit multiphze.com to learn more.

  • How does Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) differ from Manual Bladder Irrigation? With Continous Bladder Irrigation (CBI ) , the outflow of fluid is constantly monitored to assess bleeding and adjust the irrigation rate, whereas manual irrigation is a single event with less continuous monitoring required. The novel syringe features a rotatable body and three independent ports for supporting the FILL, IRRIGATE & DRAIN functions that provides enhanced protection and utility during the procedure.
