If you’ve ever wanted to spontaneously quit your job without giving two weeks’ notice, aka revenge quitting, you’re not alone. According to a recent Monster poll, nearly half of workers (47%) have done this. As the stigma of job hopping continues to fade, workers no longer feel beholden to jobs that don’t serve their highest good. That said, I don’t recommend quitting without having a thoughtful, strategic plan and financial cushion. An action plan is key especially when you need to escape a horrid environment the sooner, the better. Almost 9 in 10 respondents said revenge quitting is justified in toxic work environments; half of poll respondents said it’s a valid form of protest. While the top three reasons for resigning ASAP are toxic work environments, poor management or leadership, and feeling disrespected or undervalued, the opposite rings true, too. Here are top reasons that prevent them from revenge quitting: ✅a positive increase in their work environment ✅more recognition for their work ✅a new boss ✅receiving a raise ✅a clear path for advancement

Despite a tough economic climate, the labor market flourished in March with 228,000 jobs added, according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics report. 📉 Bad news: even with these sunny job numbers, the unemployment rate rose to 4.2% last month. Retail (-5,000) and warehousing (-9,000) saw the biggest hit. 📈 Good news: healthcare hiring remains incredibly strong and has led the way in hiring for six consecutive months. Social assistance roles and transportation jobs are also on the rise! While this latest jobs report was relatively positive, you're likely wondering what impact tariffs will have on hiring and employment. Our economist Giacomo Santangelo shares what to expect in our latest Monthly Hiring Trends Report linked below!
