Today marks the 15th anniversary of Mitsui E&P USA LLC (MEPUSA). In 2010, Mitsui recognized the explosive growth of the shale industry, driven by innovative hydraulic fracturing techniques, and saw it as a new frontier of opportunity in the U.S. onshore energy sector. On February 5, 2010, MEPUSA was founded in Houston, Texas, and acquired the Marcellus asset. Just one year later, we expanded by acquiring the Eagle Ford asset, and our growth continued with additional assets in Kaikas and Argentina, and more recently, with our operations in South and East Texas. We take great pride in our history within the North American energy sector and are deeply grateful for the support of our local communities, our partners, our parent company, Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and the landowners we work with. We remain dedicated to contributing to these communities’ continued success.
