Strasznie dumna jestem z moich mentees – serio. Potem przeszliśmy do pracy nad samym wystąpieniem.

March was pretty awesome for Polonium Foundation. Our CEO, a powerhouse named Ala Santos, PhD, swooped down to Poland and took the Board for much needed introductions - we visited a key events and stakeholders in Warsaw. ⚡️Started our tournee with electric industry event MIT Global Startup Workshop (MIT GSW) where Ala represented Polonium and talked about power of networking and diasporas, 🌎scheduled a visit at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland to discuss about the future of Polish scientific diaspora, its needs and our mission, 🖼️we had a pleasure to attend the art exhibition organised by Polpharma Biologics (science&art, yay!) On top of that, we welcomed new volunteers to the team and met new and old friends along the way. To all of you, #KeepCalmAndCurieOn

Two weeks ago, I was able to complete a major goal on my MIT bucket list-- further my involvement in the startup ecosystem at a major scale. This endeavour took me to Warsaw, Poland, where I served as the Design Lead on the Marketing Team for the MIT Global Startup Workshop (MIT GSW). I had the incredible opportunity to co-create a global experience that brought nearly 1,500 innovators together in Warsaw to reimagine the future of entrepreneurship. Collaborating with a remarkable crew of 18 MIT student leaders was one of the most rewarding experiences of my year. The journey took dedication, imagination, and collective trust—I'm so proud of the energy and intention we poured into every detail. A huge shoutout to the StartSmart CEE team for being amazing thought partners and relentless doers. Your spirit and commitment made Warsaw feel like home and helped elevate this conference to something unforgettable. The effort, late nights, and Zoom calls were more than worth it—for this, for our people, for the vision, for the future of technology. After months of planning, MIT Global Startup Workshop (MIT GSW) 2025 has come to a close — and it was such an unforgettable experience. Every year GSW sends top MIT alumni founders, tech leaders, and entrepreneurship faculty to an emerging startup ecosystem around the world, creating MIT's largest annual entrepreneurship conference. As GSW Co-President, I had the honor of helping build this conference that brought nearly 1,500 attendees together in Warsaw, Poland to explore the future of entrepreneurship. Leading our incredible team of 14 MIT students alongside my amazing Co-Presidents Madison Reddie and Tiffany Ng was a true privilege. It took months of coordination, creativity, and trust — and I couldn’t have asked for better partners to bring this vision to life. MCing the Founders Stage for a full day was one of the most fun aspects of the experience. I had the pleasure of introducing distinguished speakers like Kevin D. Johnson, Ben Soltoff, and Linda Plano who delivered inspiring yet practical content to ambitious attendees. I also loved working with Boguslawa (Bogy) Cimoszko Skowronski, Łukasz Owczarek, Magdalena Jabłońska, Angelika Garczyk and the entire StartSmart CEE team, who were such phenomenal collaborators and champions on the ground. Your heart, hustle, and hospitality made this event truly special. But the moment that stuck with me most? Hearing from local Polish university students who called this event a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” to engage with MIT frameworks and global perspectives. That alone made the entire planning process worth it.
