The Missile Defense Agency initiated its first Multiple Authority Announcement (MAA) on March 27, a versatile vehicle that allows MDA and Department of Defense entities to quickly pursue different types of non-traditional acquisitions under a single announcement. These include Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), Commercial Solutions Openings (CSO), Other Transaction Agreements (OTA), Procurement for Experimental Purposes (PEP), and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA). Next Step in Hypersonic Missile Defense - MDA and the U.S. Navy successfully executed Flight Test Other-40 (FTX-40), or Stellar Banshee, off the coast of Hawaii, March 24, 2025.
