About us

The Milwaukee Community Justice Council (MCJC) is a collaborative body composed of key government leaders, criminal justice system agencies, as well as community-based organizations and individuals. The MCJC's mission is to improve public safety, reduce crime and recidivism, and promote justice and equity in the Milwaukee community. Through collaboration and shared decision-making, the MCJC works to identify and address systemic issues in the criminal justice system, develop evidence-based policies and practices, and promote community engagement. With a focus on data-driven decision-making and a commitment to community-driven solutions, the MCJC works collaboratively to ensure a more effective, efficient, and equitable criminal justice system in Milwaukee.
