⚡ Empowering the generations of tomorrow ⚡ Last month, we welcomed more than 70 junior high and high school students to tour our Training Center for Excellence and hear from industry experts about the ins and outs of the energy industry. From trades to corporate positions, it takes a team to keep the lights on and gas flowing, and we were happy to share about the many different jobs that help serve our customers!

Our veteran employee group, VETRN, is receiving national recognition! The group was honored with a Seven Seals Award – given by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) office from the Department of Defense – at the Veterans In Energy Forum in Washington, D.C. a few weeks ago. Congrats to VETRN for paving the way to help veterans flourish at energy companies like ours! 🔴⚪🔵

Happy Natural Gas Utility Workers' Day to our hardworking team! Our gas crews are dedicated to keeping the gas flowing safely, responding to gas emergencies, and working to improve and maintain our natural gas systems. A few of our customers sent in compliments and wanted to say thanks, too! ❤️ 🔽

It takes a variety of generation resources to meet our customers’ energy needs! This winter, we hit a new peak demand of 4,931 megawatts, with our wind and coal resources working together to provide safe and reliable energy.

Recently, the MidAmerican Energy Foundation had the opportunity to help fund a unique and creative project with Boys & Girls Clubs of Siouxland. The Active Arcade – a new space designed to boost youth's interest in fitness by combining it with video games – is helping build healthy habits for kids in the program. Our CARES crew also got to help with the remodel of the room. We are excited to see the lasting impact Active Arcade has on the community!
