Creating a sustainable society requires the participation of everyone in it. At Mercari, we believe in educating younger generations to form important mindsets and habits early on. Happy #EarthDay! 🌏 Making strides toward protecting our earth requires that we measure our impact effectively, and Mercari has been working with the Japanese government’s Ministry of the Environment to design and implement standardized metrics for CO2 emissions avoided through various positive behaviors. Mercari has done extensive work in collaboration with research institutes to calculate greenhouse gas emissions avoided through our business activities, and we hope that leveraging this work on a national scale will contribute further toward the realization of a decarbonized society. Interns work with our full-time members to develop actual features for our products, gaining real-world experience and an understanding of our engineering culture.
