🚨 The budget battle for #Medicaid has entered a critical new phase. The Senate now holds the power to protect mental health care for millions. They're deciding whether to follow the House's approach, which would devastate Medicaid, or take a different path. This isn't about politics – it's about ensuring people can access life-saving mental health and substance use care when they need it most. Take action at https://lnkd.in/eseFEzNh

Mental Health America has joined NAMI and 10 other leading mental health and substance use organizations in issuing a joint statement following the announcement of widespread staffing cuts at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). These cuts put critical programs at SAMHSA, CDC, and NIH at risk — including those addressing suicide prevention, substance use, overdose, and behavioral health services. We call on the Administration to reverse course and protect the future of behavioral health care. Read the statement: https://lnkd.in/gDmAMAzh
