  • Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas joined Medical City Healthcare’s kids teaching kids® Healthy Lifestyles program earlier this week to prepare, taste and select the kid-friendly and nutritious recipes that will be included in the 2025 21-Day Snacking Challenge recipe book.   • The American College of Cardiology recently released clinical guidance on quickly diagnosing and treating patients in cardiogenic shock. This life-threatening condition occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to meet the body’s demands, most often triggered by a severe heart attack or heart failure. The new guidance “codifies what people who are thought leaders in this space have been preaching for quite some time,” says Claudius Mahr, DO, executive director of Medical City Healthcare’s Institute for Advanced Cardiac Care.
