About us
MedGlobal is a humanitarian charitable non-governmental organization that provides emergency response and health programs to build resilience among vulnerable communities around the world. Our health programs support victims of wars and disasters, refugees, internally displaced persons, and marginalized communities in disaster-affected and low-resource settings. MedGlobal was launched in 2017 by a diverse group of doctors, nurses, global health specialists, and humanitarians to address the health needs of the most vulnerable populations. MedGlobal partners with local communities to address their health priorities, builds resilience through training and education and deploys healthcare volunteers, and donates medical equipment, medications and supplies. MedGlobal field teams support local health programs for vulnerable populations in North and Latin America, Africa, MENA region, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Our growing field teams and partner organizations are supported by selfless volunteer nurses, and medical professionals of all specialties from 27 countries who embrace our mission.

Dr. John Kahler, Co-founder of MedGlobal, shares his insights at the Homs Recovery Conference: “Everybody can read the books, and look at the papers, and talk from them. We talk from our hearts, and from our soul, as to how these programs are being done. We advocate to both the local people, but we also advocate, we have access to the highest administrators and representatives in our country.” #MedGlobal #SyriaRecovery #HomsRecovery #MedGlobalConference

At the MedGlobal Homs Recovery Conference, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, Minister of Health in the Syrian Government, emphasized the urgent need to rebuild the healthcare system: “You are aware of the magnitude and difficulty of the mission, especially at this current stage. However, God willing, with this initiative and this solidarity, nothing will be too difficult for us.” He outlined efforts to restore hospitals and health centers, train medical staff, introduce modern equipment, and expand healthcare access across Syria. MedGlobal's Nursing Program Consultant Alicia Bean speaks to Fedir, a volunteer in Ukraine, about how MedGlobal's healthcare training altered his career path, and why his work rehabilitating patients and educating healthcare staff is so important to him. MedGlobal has made it possible for dozens of Ukrainian healthcare workers to take part in a variety of virtual and hands-on trainings, allowing them to earn certifications and learn the skills necessary to save lives in high-pressure situations. Like Fedir, those trainees often become trainers, who help build the capacity of Ukraine’s healthcare system.
