Last week, we launched Ignite—our very first Hospital Medicine Customer Advisory Board meeting at medaptus. It was an energizing and insightful session where a group of our Assign customers came together to share their experiences, provide feedback on new features, and help shape our product roadmap. Here are 3 key takeaways we learned from the session: 1. It’s not just about the morning assignment. Ensuring patients are correctly assigned throughout the day—and that everyone on the care team knows who’s responsible—is critical for smooth operations. 2. Automation saves hours. One customer shared how an HL7 feed between registration and medaptus cut their manual updates from 5 people working 8 hours… to just 10 minutes. 3. Flexibility is essential. As hospitals grow, having a system like Assign that can adapt to rule changes—like auto-assigning based on geography—makes all the difference in delivering quality care. We’re grateful to the incredible hospital teams from Baptist Health, Valley Hospitalist, University of Rochester – Highland Hospital, Banner Health, and BayCare Health System for joining us and helping to make our first CAB a success! Claim denials cost hospitals upwards of ~$20M annually, according to an analysis conducted by Beckers. The survey found that respondents identified an average denial rate of 15%, yet the ideal hospital denial benchmark is 5-10%. There’s no denying that denials are a significant challenge in the revenue cycle process. When you’re not paid for the services you’ve provided, your organization’s financial health is compromised, and, in turn, the quality of patient care you provide is at risk of being negatively impacted. What can you do to reduce denials? In our latest blog, we break down: ✅ Key benchmark data on hospital denials ✅ The most common reasons for pro-fee charge denials ✅ Actionable strategies to improve reimbursement rates Read more: https://hubs.ly/Q03cCG8Z0 #HealthcareFinance #RevenueCycleManagement #MedicalBilling #HospitalDenials
