📰 Read about the incredible journey of the Messerall Truss Bridge Rehabilitation and Relocation! This historic 99-foot span, wrought-iron, bowstring, tied arch bridge built in 1876 found a new purpose nearly 150 years later thanks to the partnership between the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), and Crawford County. The story of the bridge is featured in the Spring edition of the ASHE Scanner. As the lead design consultant, McCormick Taylor was excited to also collaborate with PennDOT on the article and share this unique and meaningful bridge that now serves hikers and cyclists along the Pymatuning Spillway Trail.
