Congratulations to Christine Magnuson, clinical specialist, who represented Luminis Health at the American Case Management Association (ACMA) National Conference in Denver—presenting on our impactful Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) initiative. Christine’s poster was selected as one of just 26 presentations from hundreds of submissions nationwide, a powerful recognition of the innovative and patient-centered work happening across Luminis Health.   Our MIH model is rooted in a simple, but powerful truth: no one heals best in a hospital bed. The program helps patients get home sooner, with the right supports in place—saving nearly 5,000 hospital days and reducing readmissions by over 6.6%. Behind every number is a patient who had the chance to recover in the comfort of home, thanks to the seamless collaboration across our care teams, from case management and pharmacy to Procare Ambulance and Home Health.   This initiative is a true embodiment of our RISE values: Respect, Inclusion, Service and Excellence — and a reflection of what’s possible when healthcare meets patients where they are.

We had a wonderful time at our Community Baby Shower celebrating 50 years of care at Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center! Expecting parents from across Prince George’s County joined us for a meaningful day of connection, learning, and support — from expert-led panel discussions to baby essentials giveaways and resources from local vendors. Thank you to U.S. Representative Glenn Ivey and Prince George’s County Councilmember Jolene Ivey for joining us and showing their support for maternal and community health. And thank you to everyone who made the day so special, especially our generous vendors and community members.

Deneen Richmond, president of Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center, served as a featured speaker, and the Justin Bowser, nursing clinical director at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center, was also recognized for his efforts to create safer spaces for healthcare workers. Each initiative reflects our continued commitment to improvement, innovation and keeping safety at the forefront, for our patients, our teams and the communities we serve.
