Today, we’re celebrating a major milestone with our partners EarthDaily. The first EarthDaily Constellation satellite has successfully completed integration and testing at our facility in Golden, CO – marking the first of 10 Longbow satellites that Loft will integrate, test, and operate for the constellation. Built on Loft’s space infrastructure, the EarthDaily Constellation is set to redefine Earth observation in the AI era, delivering broad-area change detection and daily global revisit. Upon deployment, the EarthDaily constellation will provide valuable insights to critical industries – unlocking operational efficiencies, identifying and mitigating emerging and unrealized risks, and helping understand the world at a new scale and depth. “The successful integration and testing of this first satellite is a testament to Loft’s space infrastructure model and the strong partnership we’ve established with EarthDaily Analytics. We can’t wait to get to the pad later this year and start unlocking the full potential of the EarthDaily Constellation,” said Alex Greenberg, COO of Loft Orbital. A special thank you to our partners at ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications and Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES) for supporting the development of Loft’s Longbow satellite platform through the ESA Pioneer Partnership Project. The successful deployment of Loft’s first Longbow satellite, YAM-8, is a testament to this program’s ability to facilitate in-orbit validation of new satellite concepts and de-risk missions in low Earth orbit. We’re thankful to be a part of this collaboration between ESA, CNES, and Airbus Defence and Space that is lowering the barrier to space and nurturing a growing and competitive European space ecosystem. Go Longbow YAM-8! Through our ESA Pioneer Partnership Project programme, my team and I are pleased to have supported upgrades to the Airbus Arrow 150 platform on board the Longbow YAM-8 satellite. The platform will be crucial in enabling multi-mission concepts, while supporting technological developments as well as in-orbit demonstrations. Through our investment in advanced satellite technologies, ESA strengthens the global competitiveness of our Member States in their space capabilities within a growing and increasingly strategic market. This partnership with Airbus, Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and the Loft Orbital team is a prime demonstration of ESA’s rich expertise and capabilities in the field of innovative satellite platforms. We are committed to adding value across the satellite communications industry to benefit customers, and I look forward to welcoming further milestones with our international colleagues. https://lnkd.in/d7DBK-pg

YAM-8 is talking! We have successfully made contact with the satellite and have begun sending commands and downlinking telemetry. All systems are nominal. We’ll continue commissioning YAM-8 over the next several weeks and begin commissioning customer payloads shortly thereafter – stay tuned for more updates soon! A huge thank you to Exolaunch and SpaceX for a flawless deployment. Our world-class launch partners continue to set our missions up for success. And lastly, congratulations to all of the Lofties who contributed to delivering for our customers and deploying another piece of Loft hardware into low Earth orbit. #SpaceMadeSimple

Our first Longbow satellite, YAM-8, is ready for launch! YAM-8 is carrying several customer and Loft-owned payloads to orbit that will leverage the Longbow’s increased SWaP and capability to execute multiple unique missions. The integration of Loft’s core technologies with another standardized satellite platform highlights our continued commitment to our principal of being bus and payload agnostic – using our hardware (Hub) and software (Cockpit) abstraction layers to offer our customers a range of LEO satellite platforms with minimal non-recurring engineering and reduced mission complexity. In our latest blog, YAM-8: Entering the Longbow Era, we explore how the Longbow platform and Loft’s technology are unlocking enhanced on-orbit capabilities, faster speed to orbit, and high-reliability LEO hardware. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gMB7fXRY We look forward to sharing more details about the customer missions onboard YAM-8 as we commission the satellite and begin delivering data to our customers.

Today, Loft and Helsing are announcing a strategic partnership to jointly develop and deploy a multi-sensor satellite constellation to deliver real-time intelligence and situational awareness to European government, defence, and security stakeholders. This constellation will fly a suite of RF sensors and cameras, and support tactical decision-making by processing data onboard, using AI. We are thrilled to be partnered with Helsing on combining New Space with New Defence. With satellite buses already under production and launch slots secured, we will begin launching the constellation in 2026. https://lnkd.in/gTPQ4jXt
