Fun fact – this design element helped the project earn the first-ever “design for active occupants” LEED innovation credit. It encourages building users to choose the stairs over the elevators, promoting physical activity and improving overall health.

Throwback to our Las Positas College Public Safety Complex/Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation Facility project that completed in summer 2023. This facility houses multiple Career Technical Education (CTE) programs including Fire Technology, Emergency Services, Auto Technology, Welding, Advanced Manufacturing, and Administration of Justice. Designing facilities that provide students with opportunities to learn vital technical skills to serve their communities is our greatest joy and the heart of our firm's culture!

On Tuesday, April 1st, a cohort of female students from our Building Trades pathway at Luther Burbank High School took part in a job shadow day at Lionakis, an Architecture, Structural Design and Interior Design Firm in Sacramento. During the visit, students toured the firm, heard from several guest speakers representing different departments, and created their own structural building models and interior design mood boards. Thank you Lionakis for this impactful career readiness experience for our students!
