  • The Memories Matter event, hosted by Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation, was an inspiring evening filled with hope and progress. From breakthroughs in diagnostics to new treatments and preventative lifestyle research, it was incredible to learn about the strides ADDF is taking in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. We want to express our gratitude to our wonderful guests for their continued friendship and support! Having friends in the elder care industry and being surrounded by like-minded individuals is such a big part of what makes this work so meaningful. Supporting older adults isn't about one person or one approach. It takes a network of compassionate and dedicated professionals to make sure all needs are met!

The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation's 8th Annual Memories Matter Gala, held at The Museum of Natural History, raised an impressive $1.3M last week, with 100% of the funds dedicated to advancing Alzheimer's research, prevention, and treatment. LifeWorx is proud to support the ADDF and humbled by the incredible progress in the field.   We are especially grateful to our guests, Mina Q. MalikRich Martinelli, and Antonia Martinelli, for their generous contributions to this important cause. LifeWorx has had the privilege of caring for Mina's family, and Rich has been our trusted IP attorney for over 20 years.   A heartfelt thank you to Wendy and Stephanie for organizing such an exceptional event!

As a member of the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation Board of Overseers, I'm proud of the incredible progress the ADDF made in 2024, funding groundbreaking research to develop new treatments for Alzheimer's disease. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/e5GGBRZj This work is guided by leaders like Howard Fillit, MD, the ADDF's Chief Science Officer and a LifeWorx Board Member since 2019. His expertise as a geriatrician and neuroscientist bridges the gap between innovative science and the care families need at home. Research and care are two parts of the same mission to help families live better lives. In this video, Dr. Fillit shares his thoughts on the quality of care LifeWorx provides—care that is informed by trust, expertise, and empathy. Together, with the support of dedicated leaders like Dr. Fillit, we continue to make strides toward a brighter future for those affected by Alzheimer's, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact we’ll have in 2025 and beyond!
