It's January, when does your passport expire? As we step into the new year, it’s the perfect time to check your passport validity—and that of all your family members! This is especially crucial for those with multiple nationalities. With different validity periods and renewal processes, it's easy for expiration dates to slip through the cracks. In addition, you should be aware that most countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, and many also require visas for tourism. Keeping track of your passport validity is essential to avoid last-minute surprises at the airport. The US Department of State offers a useful tool that provides information about the passport and visa requirements for every country: https://lnkd.in/g-bgXtj In addition, US citizens should get ready for ETIAS, the upcoming travel authorization requirement for entering Europe (European Travel Information and Authorization System). ETIAS will require you to apply at least 96 hours before your departure. At our firm, we work with many clients who have multiple nationalities, we recommend taking the time now in January to check your passport validity, saving time, stress, and potential issues down the line. Let’s start 2025 on the right foot—prepared and organized! #traveltips #passportcheck #visapreparation #newyear2025 #internationaltravel #familytravel #multiplenationalities #ETIAS
